Kim Kardashian visited a correctional facility in Washington, D.C., where she met an inmate connected to the 1998 film Slam.

During the visit, she spoke with Momolu Stewart, who appeared in the film as a teenager. At the time of filming, Stewart was in custody and awaiting trial.
He was later convicted in connection with a 1997 incident and sentenced to life in prison.

Following Kardashian’s visit, Stewart shared a photo of the two together on social media. In the post, he referenced future plans and described the meeting as part of a broader effort to move forward.
Kardashian later became involved in his case.

According to reports, she wrote a letter to the judge requesting a review of Stewart’s sentence. The court later reduced his sentence to time served and placed him on probation.
After spending more than two decades in prison, Stewart was released from the Central Detention Facility at 39.

Court records show that Stewart and another individual, Kareem McCraney, had been convicted in connection with a fatal encounter in 1997. Stewart was a teenager at the time and was tried as an adult.
Kardashian has spent recent years working on criminal justice reform, including prison visits and involvement in individual cases. This visit became one of several instances in which her involvement was linked to a change in sentencing outcomes.
