Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher are officially married after more than a decade together.
The couple tied the knot during a private ceremony in Anguilla attended by close friends and family. According to reports, the wedding took place on July 9 in the Caribbean, several years after the two first became engaged.
Butcher wore a lace gown designed by Mira Zwillinger, while Murphy wore a white Brioni suit for the ceremony.
The two began dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2018. Together, they share two children: daughter Izzy and son Max.
In the years leading up to the wedding, the couple largely kept their relationship private, making occasional appearances together at premieres, award shows, and industry events. Just weeks before the ceremony, they attended the premiere of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F in Los Angeles, where Murphy was joined by Butcher and several of his children.
Murphy, who is a father of 10, has often spoken about the importance of family throughout his career. Friends and former co-stars have also described him as someone deeply focused on his children and home life away from the spotlight.
Although Butcher rarely gives interviews, she has occasionally spoken publicly about their relationship. During a red carpet appearance in 2020, she described Murphy as “very sweet and romantic,” adding that he regularly says thoughtful things to her behind the scenes as well.
Murphy later thanked Butcher and his children publicly while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes, acknowledging their support over the years.
The marriage marks Murphy’s second and Butcher’s first.
