Quinta Brunson is the creator of the ABC comedy Abbott Elementary, and she's giving a powerful gift to the children in her hometown of West Philadelphia. On December 2, 2025, she started the Quinta Brunson Field Trip Fund to help pay for trips for over 117,000 students, according to the Philadelphia School District.
To begin the fund, she donated $20,000 of her own money, according to CBS News. The nonprofit said that all donations will go directly toward field trips.

"Field trips were some of the most memorable parts of my own education growing up in Philadelphia. They opened my world, sparked my creativity, and helped me imagine a future beyond what I saw every day," Quinta said in a statement.
Brunson was awarded a key to the city on June 2, 2025, and at the ceremony, she announced a $25,000 donation to Groceries for Good on behalf of the Fund for the School District of Philadelphia.

Teachers will now be able to apply for grants to take their classes to museums, parks, science centers, and other places that help kids learn in exciting ways.
Her goal is to make sure money never stops a child from discovering something amazing, just like she once did. To support the Philadelphia students, donations can be made to the Quinta Brunson Field Trip Fund.
