Jafet Elijah Jemmott is 15 years old and has been missing since November 28, 2025, in Queens, New York. The New York City Police Department confirmed that Jafet is still officially listed as a missing person.
He was last seen around 6:00 AM in the vicinity of Beach 73 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Queens. He has brown eyes, black hair, is approximately 5'7" tall, and weighs about 130 pounds.

Jafet's father, Federico Jemmott, has made a public plea on social media asking for help in finding his son. On December 21, 2025, the case gained national attention and was featured on On Patrol: Live. Jafet's family fears he may have been lured online.
Federico said Jafet wanted to go shopping at a thrift store in Brooklyn and then visit Kings Plaza Mall with his friends, but the two got into an argument about it the night before, according to an interview with News 12 Connecticut.
Jafet was capture on security footage leaving his home. The family later saw through an app that his phone battery was at just 5% when he left. By the time they tried to call him, it was too late. Jafet's friends later confirmed that he never showed up.

"The last conversation we had was me arguing with him that he could not go. I don't even want to think about it," Federico said.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children said Jafet was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, black hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers. Jafet speaks English and Spanish and may also go by the name of Elijah.
